which kind of vessel would be good for me to start my first sea time

I have 3 choice
First is semi submersible HLV
Second is LNG gas tanker
Third is VLCC

If u are in my situation,
Which vessel will u choose

Hi Lee,

You will probably get the best experience on either the HLV or the LNG. You'll get more seamanship experiences on the HLV. The LNG will probably be better for getting future jobs. LNG tankers are quite specialized and their numbers are increasing. Once you have LNG experience your job opportunities should increase.

VLCC's usually only carry crude oil on fairly long voyages and have a limited amount of cargo gear. If you want to stay with oil tankers this might be a good choice but, in my opinion, the LNG would be the best for long term employment.

If I may suggest, LNG gas tanker will be a good choice. 2nd choice will be VLCC. This suggestion is personal. The gas trade is very interesting, more so with LPGs as LNG can become "boring" after a period of time due to the fact that the cargo type is only LNG.
